A Man in His 50s, Dissatisfied with His Former Workplace, Damaged Dozens of Bus Rearview Mirrors
[Asia Economy Min Jun-young, Intern Reporter] A man in his 50s who was dissatisfied with the city bus company where he worked was caught by the police for damaging the rearview mirrors of dozens of buses.
The Gwangju Nambu Police Station announced on the 18th that they have arrested and are investigating Mr. A (50) on charges of special property damage and obstruction of business.
Mr. A is accused of breaking the rearview mirrors of 30 parked buses at a city bus garage in Songam-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, at around 12:10 a.m. on July 28.
According to the police, Mr. A parked his car on a deserted road about 2 km away from the garage and then walked to the site to commit the crime.
Mr. A is also suspected of damaging the front glass and rearview mirrors of two medium-sized buses at the company's second garage at around 12:59 a.m. on the 13th of the same month.
It is known that Mr. A worked as a temporary employee at the bus company but was not hired as a regular staff member.
