KOSPI Slightly Declines... Maintains 2400 Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] On the 18th, the KOSPI market started with a slight decline.
As of 9:19 AM, the KOSPI recorded 2403.18, down 4.31 points (0.18%) from the previous trading day. The index opened down 0.07% at 2405.84 compared to the previous day, with the early session seeing a larger drop.
Looking at trading trends by participant, individuals sold heavily with net sales of 325.6 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions made net purchases of 138.2 billion KRW and 181.4 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, the performance was mixed. In the KOSPI market, the electrical and electronics, and food and beverage sectors were rising. Transportation equipment and distribution sectors declined.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ market recorded 830.76, down 4.27 points (0.51%). The market opened at 834.55, down 0.48 points from the previous day, but the decline appeared to be widening.

Regarding supply and demand, individuals made net purchases of 84.5 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions made net sales of 14.9 billion KRW and 47.4 billion KRW, respectively.
