Lotte Department Store's Kim Dae-su, Head of Metropolitan Area 1, and Choi Moon-soon, Governor of Gangwon Province, attended the agreement signing.
This agreement ceremony was organized with the purpose of providing stable sales channels to traditional market merchants who have been struggling recently due to environmental impacts and allowing customers from other regions to freely access excellent agricultural and specialty products from the province.
According to the agreement, Gangwon Province will focus on enhancing the quality of excellent agricultural and specialty products so that customers can safely and confidently purchase them, while Lotte Department Store will strive for mutual growth by offering preferential store entry and marketing support to traditional market merchants and regularly hosting direct transaction events.
Prior to the agreement signing, last month Lotte Department Store and Gangwon Province held a large-scale traditional market event for seven days at Lotte Department Store Nowon Branch, recording total sales of 200 million KRW and receiving favorable reviews from consumers for the excellent agricultural and specialty products.
Lotte Department Store plans to present various premium agricultural and specialty products as exclusive Chuseok gift sets, including limited-quantity natural pine mushroom sets, various salted seafood and seasoned sets made by masters from Sokcho City, and traditional liquor sets.
