[Breaking News] Japan's New COVID-19 Cases Remain in the 1,000s for Three Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] According to NHK's tally on the 15th, the number of new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) announced by local governments as of 7 PM was a total of 1,186, including 385 in Tokyo and 151 in Osaka.
With this, Japan's daily new confirmed cases have remained in the 1,000 range for three consecutive days. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is 55,859.
From the 4th to the 9th, Japan recorded over 1,000 cases daily for six consecutive days, then the daily cases dropped below 1,000 from the 10th to the 12th, and rose back to over 1,000 starting from the 13th.
The cumulative death toll increased by 4 on this day, reaching 1,103.
