Gochang-gun Operates Promotional Booth at the 'Korea Travel Expo'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 14th that it will participate in the 'Korea Travel Expo' held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do until the 16th, operating a tourism promotion center.
This expo, hosted by the Korea International Tourism Expo Organizing Committee and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, opened the day before under the theme "Travel, Becoming Everyday Life."
About 190 organizations including local governments, domestic and international tourism-related institutions, and travel agencies are participating, operating about 340 booths.
Gochang-gun introduces local resources and attractions that can be safely enjoyed, where visitors can heal their body and mind tired from COVID-19 and feel mental relaxation in the biosphere reserve area, timed with summer vacation and special travel weeks.
Among them, they plan to focus on promoting agricultural and specialty products with the highest brand value such as watermelon, melon, Pungcheon eel, bokbunja (Korean black raspberry), and vinegar.
In particular, they will captivate visitors by screening the county promotional video, distributing tourism brochures, maps, souvenirs, and providing historical and cultural travel consultations with cultural tourism interpreters.

A Gochang-gun official said, "This has become a great opportunity to introduce the beautiful natural scenery and tourism resources of the entire biosphere reserve area in the county," adding, "We will continue to do our best to attract many tourists through active tourism promotion."
