Exemption from Reserve Forces Training in Special Disaster Areas
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter]The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 14th that reserve forces training will be exempted in areas declared as special disaster zones due to heavy rainfall.
Reserve forces organized as local reserve forces or workplace reserve forces within the special disaster zones, as well as reserve forces registered as residents, will be exempted after confirming their residence and organization status with the relevant reserve forces units and local Military Manpower Administration offices.
Additionally, even if not organized as reserve forces within the special disaster zones, reserve forces whose parents or children reside in the special disaster zones and have suffered damage can also be exempted from training. In this case, a 'Damage Confirmation Certificate' and a 'Family Relationship Certificate' issued by the local government must be submitted to the relevant reserve forces unit.
