[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Concerns are rising that COVID-19 infections, which had been quiet for a while in the Gwangju area, are resurging. According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 13th, one additional COVID-19 case was confirmed, bringing the total cumulative cases in the region to 219. Although it is presumed to be community transmission, the exact infection route remains unclear.
The 219th confirmed case diagnosed on this day is a man in his 20s residing in a house in Wolsan-dong, Nam-gu, Gwangju, who exhibited symptoms such as sore throat, fever, muscle pain, and cough the previous day.
