Strengthening Comprehensive Real Estate Tax on Multiple Homeowners, 'Support' 47.5% vs 'Oppose' 47.5%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Public opinion is evenly divided on whether to strengthen the comprehensive real estate tax on multi-homeowners.
According to a survey conducted by Realmeter on behalf of tbs on the 12th, targeting 500 adults nationwide, 47.5% supported strengthening the comprehensive real estate tax on multi-homeowners, while 47.5% opposed it, showing an equal ratio.
Compared to the survey on the 8th of last month, where 53.5% supported and 41.4% opposed, support dropped by 6 percentage points, while opposition rose by 6.1 percentage points.
By region, Seoul showed more opposition at 63.5%, whereas Gyeonggi and Incheon showed higher support at 54.8%.
By age group, support exceeded half among those in their 40s and 50s, while those in their 30s and 60s were evenly split.
This survey contacted 7,735 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, with a final response of 500 people, recording a response rate of 6.5%, and a sampling error of ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
