On the 13th, the Serious Crime Investigation Division of the National Police Agency announced that they have booked A, a former private advisory member of the FTC, without detention on charges of violating the Attorney-at-Law Act and are currently investigating.
The police received intelligence that A approached companies fined by the FTC, promising to reduce the fines in exchange for money, and are conducting an investigation.
It is reported that the police have secured some evidence to prove the charges through analysis of A's mobile phone. The police also plan to investigate whether A actually provided entertainment to FTC officials.
