Police Confirm 3 Additional Victims in 'Gangnam Random Assault'... Man Throws Punches at 5 Women
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man who randomly assaulted a woman trying to catch a taxi late at night in the heart of Gangnam was found to have assaulted three more women.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that, in addition to the two women who reported being victims of assault by Mr. A, they have identified three additional female victims. The police confirmed the additional victims by analyzing the suspect’s statements and nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
Mr. A is accused of punching a woman in the face who was trying to catch a taxi near Nonhyeon Station on Subway Line 7 at around 12:40 a.m. on the 8th, and then fleeing the scene. While fleeing after assaulting the first victim, he also struck another woman.
