Kim Jong-in: "The 4-term limit for National Assembly members is not definitive"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the United Future Party, stated on the 11th that regarding whether the 'four-term limit for National Assembly members' would be included in the party's platform and policies, "It is not definitive, so I cannot say it will be categorically reflected in the policy."
Chairman Kim Jong-in made these remarks to reporters right after receiving a report from Kim Byung-min, Chairman of the Platform and Policy Special Committee, at the National Assembly that day, saying, "Such discussions also came up during the special committee members' deliberations."
Regarding the abolition of the Blue House's Civil Affairs and Personnel Office, Chairman Kim Jong-in pointed out, "There is absolutely no reason why the Personnel Office must exist," and added, "Because of the Personnel Office, the ministers' control power itself has not been strong."
On the party-level participation in the Liberation Day rally, Chairman Kim Jong-in said, "If party members themselves want to participate, they can freely do so," and added, "The party officially participating in it is another matter."
Chairman Kim Byung-min explained about the Emergency Committee's resolution, "This week is a session to report the drafted proposal," and "The resolution by the Emergency Committee will likely coincide with the party name revision around the end of August."
