Hyosung Supports 'Gyeongdannyeo' Reemployment Program for 8th Consecutive Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyosung visited the Jongno Women's Human Resources Development Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 10th and donated 70 million KRW as a support fund for employment activation programs for women facing difficulties in reemployment, such as career-interrupted women, female heads of households, and middle-aged and older women.
Since 2013, Hyosung has supported programs at the Jongno Women's Human Resources Development Center, including training programs for meal preparation specialists, social welfare practitioners, and care teachers, providing 70 million KRW annually. Through these programs, about 200 women have secured new jobs.
This year, from August for about three months, the center will operate a care teacher training program and a newly established caregiver training program for around 40 participants. Even after the programs end, dedicated career counselors will provide regular employment consultations, job information, and job placement support until successful employment is achieved.
A Hyosung official stated, "Caregivers and care teachers are essential professions in our society where the scope of welfare is expanding," adding, "We hope that through corporate sponsorship, many women will succeed in reemployment, contribute to areas where they are truly needed in society, and achieve economic independence."
