According to Wando-gun on the 10th, Wando Nonghyup (Chairman Kim Mi-nam) has been conducting a free boarding event on the Wannong Ferry (Yaksan Dangmok Port ? Saeildo Seoseong Port) for birthday persons entering Saeildo since the 1st.
The free passenger ship boarding event is held through an agreement between Wando-gun and Wando Nonghyup to promote the activation of tourism and branding of the island you want to visit.
To go to Saeildo, passengers use the ferry (Wannong Ferry) from Yaksan Dangmok Port, and the round-trip fare is 6,600 KRW.
Birthday verification is based on the birthday on the resident registration card at the time of ticket issuance, limited to those possessing a resident registration card, and vehicle ferry fees are excluded.
Saeildo was selected as the island you want to visit in Jeollanam-do in 2016, and with the largest birthday cake sculpture in Korea, a resort-type tourist farm, Saeildo Island Road, and places good for relaxing, the number of tourists has steadily increased every year.
Last year, 33,613 people visited, and despite the impact of COVID-19 this year, about 28,000 people had visited by last month, and it is expected that the number of visitors will exceed last year’s total in August.
Wando Nonghyup is adding a reserve ship from August to alleviate the inconvenience of the rapidly increasing visitors, and to accommodate Saeildo overnight guests, Hanaro Mart’s business hours have been extended to 8 p.m.
Meanwhile, the passenger ship dock electronic display event for Saeildo visitors conducted by Wando-gun is also attracting attention.
If you want to celebrate your birthday or leave a memory of visiting Saeildo, a commemorative event that displays congratulatory or welcome messages on the electronic display board timed with the ferry’s arrival at the dock is receiving great responses.
Also, visitors can take commemorative photos in front of the largest cake sculpture in Korea installed at the passenger ship dock while listening to the sweet congratulatory songs flowing from the sculpture.
