In the final episode of JTBC's entertainment program 'Star Direct Trade - Traveling Market' aired on the 9th, Jang Dong-min's rural life was revealed.
On the day of the broadcast, Jang Dong-min led hosts Jang Yoon-jung, Seo Jang-hoon, and Yoo Se-yoon to a pavilion in front of his house.
Seeing the pavilion, Jang Yoon-jung said, "I definitely want to live in the countryside someday," to which Jang Dong-min replied, "If you decide to live there later, be sure to consult with me. Designing the house structure is very important."
When Seo Jang-hoon asked, "Aren't there a lot of bugs?" Jang Dong-min said, "For rural houses, designing the house structure is really important. The entrance area is especially important."
He added, "I'm advising you because of bugs coming in. You can design the structure so that bugs don't enter the house," explaining, "At first, I used a single-layer screen door, but that's not good; you need a double door. These things must be planned during the initial design."
Then, Jang Dong-min stated, "I have never bought secondhand items nor have I ever put my belongings up for sale."
He said, "I have a bit of an obsession with my things," and added, "When someone buys an item that has my personal touch, it feels like they are taking away my energy as well."
Furthermore, Jang Dong-min said, "If I weren't successful as a celebrity, I would have appeared on 'The World is Amazing' as a grandfather who collects things," and laughed, saying, "I made up my mind and carefully thought about it before putting items up for sale. I decided on exactly nine items."
