Gyeongju City to Launch Discounted 'Integrated Pass' for Bomun Complex Around September
Tourism Companies Hold Briefing Ahead of Bomun Tour Pass Launch on the 6th
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Gyeongju City, Gyeongbuk Province, announced on the 9th that it plans to launch the 'Gyeongju Bomun Integrated Pass' (tentatively named Bomun Tour Pass) as early as September, allowing visitors to use various facilities in the Bomun Complex, a tourist and recreational area including Donggungwon, a four-season experiential theme tourism facility, with a single ticket.
In this regard, on the 6th, Gyeongju City held a briefing session on the establishment of the 'Bomun Tour Pass' for major tourism businesses in the Bomun Complex at Donggungwon, the four-season experiential theme tourism facility.
The briefing was attended by many companies including the Gyeongju World Culture Expo, Gyeongju Bird Park, Gyeongju World Automobile Museum, Korean Popular Music Museum, Gyeongju Teddy Bear Museum, Gyeongju Kidult Museum, Uyang Art Museum, Gyeongju Solgeo Art Museum, Son Jaerim Currency Museum, and Gyeongju World.
Currently, social commerce platforms such as Coupang, Wemakeprice, and TMON offer numerous online discounted tourism products nationwide, including package-type tour passes that bundle various tourist attractions by local governments and free-use tour passes valid for a certain period. However, according to Gyeongju City, there has not yet been a tour pass bundling the tourist attractions of the Bomun Tourism Complex, which has been a source of regret for many citizens and tourists.
Gyeongju City expects that once the Bomun Integrated Pass is launched, it will establish itself as a representative tourism product of Gyeongju alongside the Gyeongbuk Tour Pass (Gyeongju Silla Tour Pass) and Gyeongbuk Nadri Tour Pass currently sold by Gyeongbuk Province.

Kim Cha-sik, director of Donggungwon, said, "We are exploring various methods focusing on the direction to revitalize tourism in the Bomun Complex, which has been depressed due to COVID-19, and on coexistence. We hope that the successful launch of the Gyeongju Bomun Integrated Pass will serve as an opportunity for tourism businesses to coexist with lodging and restaurants."
