Fashion and Beauty Industry: "No New Product Without Collaboration"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The fashion and beauty industries are continuously launching collaboration products to target the 'MZ Generation (Millennials + Generation Z),' who seek fun through consumption.
Global cosmetic brand Mediheal has launched three types of men-only ‘Mask for Men’ through the online fashion beauty platform Musinsa. The three Mask for Men products offer a skin healing solution exclusively for men under the concept of ‘managing the complex male skin with just one mask pack.’ They are exclusively available on Musinsa, applying fabrics and ingredients tailored to men's skin on Mediheal’s existing best-selling mask packs.
They feature Mediheal’s differentiated sheet and formula, which have recorded cumulative sales of 2 billion units. The V-cutting sheet that spreads 360° provides perfect adhesion and tension for any face shape, while the patented men’s formula consisting of six sprout extracts effectively cares for male skin troubled by dryness and sensitivity.
The line-up includes three types: ‘Tea Tree Cica Soothing Up,’ which helps soothe irritated skin comfortably; ‘N.M.F Aqua Power Up,’ which replenishes moisture to rough and dry skin; and ‘Collagen Amino Tension Up,’ which delivers firm tension power to tired and lackluster skin.
Beauty brand Etude’s ‘Disney Awesome Party Collection’ is a makeup collection capturing the charm of adorable Disney characters, featuring cute packaging and new formulations.
The main product, ‘Jelly Mousse Tint,’ comes in a roly-poly-shaped container design that gives a lively impression as if the characters are moving, stimulating collectors’ desire. The ‘Jellyful Blur Balm’ consists of four types of cushions and three types of makeup bases, and is a mesh-type balm with a cool jelly texture that applies moistly yet finishes with a matte touch.
‘Lovely Cookie Blusher’ is a soft powder blusher. Additionally, the newly released ‘Zero Pore Drying Powder’ is a no-sebum powder that cares without caking. Also, a ‘3-in-1 Face Brush’ that can be used for blusher, powder, and bronzer, along with a soft and fluffy character ‘Cushion Puff,’ will be released together.
LF, a lifestyle culture company, launched a collaboration product with the jelly brand ‘Haribo’ under its Jil Sander Sports line. The collection includes T-shirts, hats, socks, sandals, and slippers that utilize Haribo’s jelly shape, font, and packaging design. The collaboration collection is characterized by the harmonious blend of Jil Sander Sports’ sporty sensibility and Haribo’s cute charm under the concept of ‘joyful vacation.’
