View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Congressman Kim Tae-ho (Gyeongnam Sancheong, Hamyang, Geochang, Hapcheon) visited the Sancheong County Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on the 7th to listen to the current situation and express encouragement and gratitude.
On this day, Congressman Kim received a report on flood and typhoon management measures, including countermeasures against the prolonged rainy season and heavy rainfall.
He also listened to the status of quarantine measures against African swine fever and encouraged the staff in charge.
Congressman Kim said, “Thanks to Sancheong County’s long-term proactive flood control projects, the situation was managed without major damage despite the recent rainy season and heavy rains,” and added, “I deeply thank the many public officials and local residents who have worked hard on safety management.”
Lee Jae-geun, Mayor of Sancheong County, said, “Our county has continuously promoted river maintenance projects, disaster risk area improvements, and habitual flood damage area improvement projects to alleviate residents’ concerns about flood damage,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to secure national funding to protect the safety and property of local residents. We hope the congressman will also show much interest and support.”
