Inspection of Gunsan City's Population Policy Projects... Average Execution Rate 68% 'On Track'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] Gunsan City, Jeonbuk Province, has begun reviewing key projects from the first half of the year to successfully implement population policies in the second half.
On the 7th, the city announced that it reviewed the first half progress of each department regarding the '2020 Population Policy Key Promotion Projects' and discussed solutions for areas that were lagging behind.
The key promotion projects for population policy consist of a total of 5 sectors and 59 projects across 16 departments: ▲Marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth ▲Childcare and nursing ▲Senior welfare ▲Employment ▲Improvement of residential conditions.
The main inspection items were the first half performance and budget execution status for each project, problems and improvements during project implementation, conducted through department visits and interviews as well as written reports.
The inspection results showed that although there were difficulties in project implementation due to the prolonged impact of COVID-19, all 59 projects had a high average budget execution rate of 68%.
Additionally, due to restrictions on face-to-face activities caused by COVID-19, departments flexibly carried out projects by conducting small-scale programs, distributing booklets and leaflets, and actively utilizing media publicity.
