‘Hapcheon Eorinijip Team’ Gold Prize at National CPR Competition
Competing as Gyeongnam Representative in the 9th Korea General Public Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Contest
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters announced on the 7th that the Hapcheon Daycare Center team, representing Gyeongnam at the 9th Korea General Public Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Competition held by the National Fire Agency, won the Gold Prize, the Fire Chief's Award. Teachers Park Yoon-hee, Park Si-eun, and Oh Kyung-hee from Hapcheon Daycare Center formed a team and competed against national representative teams.
This competition was organized to raise awareness of the importance of CPR among the entire population and to promote a life-respecting consciousness. It aims to increase the rate of CPR performed by first responders before the arrival of the 119 ambulance to improve the survival rate of cardiac arrest patients.
The daycare center teachers, representing the Hapcheon Fire Station under the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, won first place at the "Gyeongnam Province CPR Competition" held on the 13th of last month and participated in the national competition as representatives of Gyeongnam Province.
Under the team name "Eung·Pyeong·4·U*," they performed a CPR performance and won the Gold Prize among 13 cities and provinces. The team name means "In case of an emergency, regain composure, the 4-minute deadline, we protect."

Oh Kyung-hee, a teacher on the team, said, "Through this competition, I had the opportunity to systematically learn and internalize CPR," adding, "I gained confidence to respond calmly even if an emergency requiring first aid occurs at the daycare center."
