Expectations for SOC Enhancement, Resident Welfare, and Job Creation in Wanju, Jinan, Muju, and Jangsu Areas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Ahn Ho-young, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Wanju, Jinan, Muju, Jangsu), secured special grants to resolve local issues and prepare for various disaster situations.
On the 6th, Representative Ahn Ho-young announced that he secured 3.1 billion KRW in special grants for local issues and disaster safety from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to address the pending tasks in Wanju, Jinan, Muju, and Jangsu.
The special grants secured this time were allocated evenly to reinforce local SOC, resident welfare, and job creation, including ▲road construction on Jung-ro 1-1 Line in Samnye-eup, Wanju-gun (500 million KRW) ▲expansion and paving of the entrance road to the cypress forest in Sang-gwan-myeon (500 million KRW) ▲expansion and paving of Baegam Line (County Road No. 6) in Jinan-gun (400 million KRW) ▲installation of an elevator for the disabled at the Jinan-eup Administrative Welfare Center (300 million KRW) ▲establishment of the Bandinuri Workshop in Muju-gun (700 million KRW) ▲additional installation of a municipal waste incineration facility in Jangsu-gun (700 million KRW).
The road construction on Jung-ro 1-1 Line in Samnye-eup, Wanju-gun, connects Samnye Culture and Arts Village with Samnye Chalbang Park, serving as a road that can lead to both economic vitality and cultural growth momentum.
Also, the ‘Expansion and paving project of the entrance road to the cypress forest in Sang-gwan-myeon’ is expected to improve transportation convenience for the rapidly increasing visitors to the cypress forest and local residents, as well as facilitate smooth transportation with surrounding areas, thereby revitalizing the local economy.
The expansion and paving project of Baegam Line (County Road No. 6) in Jinan-gun is a road expansion and paving construction necessary for the establishment of the National Jideok Forest Healing Center, providing convenience to residents and users in Baegun-myeon area.
The installation of an elevator for the disabled at the Jinan-eup Administrative Welfare Center will assist the elderly, disabled, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups in using the facility, while the establishment of the Bandinuri Workshop in Muju-gun will provide vocational rehabilitation services to help disabled people settle stably in social activities and the employment market.
The additional installation project of the municipal waste incineration facility in Jangsu-gun is a project aimed at solving the shortage of incineration facility capacity due to the increase in municipal waste input, and preparing measures to treat excavated combustible waste from the closed landfill site to prevent surrounding environmental pollution.
