LH Holds Emergency Inspection Meeting on Heavy Rain Response Situation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 6th that it held an emergency inspection meeting attended by regional headquarters chiefs in response to damages caused by recent heavy rains in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and other areas, with the rainy season expected to continue for some time.
Since May, LH has organized disaster prevention duty teams to prepare for flood and wind damage risks until October. When heavy rain warnings are issued, LH operates a proactive disaster management system by maintaining a 24-hour response system at nationwide rental housing and construction sites.
At the emergency meeting, LH checked the status of vulnerable facility responses and damage situations at 14 regional headquarters nationwide. They also confirmed preemptive safety measures to prevent soil erosion, slope collapses, and flooding in rental housing at construction sites.
They focused on inspecting preparedness to prevent secondary damage such as soil erosion or flooding, and discussed support measures including emergency housing support for disaster victims, relief kits, and volunteer activities that can be provided upon local government requests in severely affected areas.

We will prepare resident support measures that can be immediately provided upon requests from flood-affected areas.”
