Two of them are the parents-in-law of a woman in her 30s from Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, who visited relatives in Gyeongsan, and the other two are imported cases.
According to Gyeongbuk Province, a 68-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman living in Gimcheon tested positive after their second test at Gimcheon Public Health Center on the 4th and were admitted to Andong Medical Center.
The couple are the parents-in-law of a 37-year-old woman living in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, who was confirmed positive after visiting her aunt's house in Gyeongsan City with her family on July 29. Following the woman's 4-month-old child, her aunt (55) was also confirmed positive every other day and is receiving treatment at Andong Medical Center.
Additionally, a 48-year-old man living in Gyeongju, who returned through Incheon Airport on July 23, was confirmed positive after a third test at Gyeongju Public Health Center and was admitted to Andong Medical Center. His spouse and three children, who had stayed in Pakistan since 2019, all tested negative.
A 22-year-old Russian man who entered through Incheon Airport on the 4th also came to Gyeongsan City, was tested at the public health center, confirmed positive, and was transferred to Andong Medical Center.
Accordingly, as of midnight on the 6th, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gyeongbuk area increased by 4 from the previous day to 1,367. The number of recovered patients and deaths remained the same as the previous day at 1,295 and 58, respectively.
