View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Sangju City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, held the final report meeting for the establishment of the basic plan for the Rural New Vitality Plus Project at City Hall on the 5th.
At the report meeting attended by about 40 people including the project promotion committee, related departments, and affiliated organizations, the final report on the basic plan was presented, and various opinions were shared regarding the detailed project ideas and the establishment of a food plan foundation.
The Sangju Rural New Vitality Plus Project has established a basic plan to support 7 billion KRW over four years (4.9 billion KRW from the national government and 2.1 billion KRW from local government) in three areas: ▲ Establishment of an integrated food support system ▲ Fostering social economy entities based on food ▲ Spreading a food community culture. This plan was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs at the end of June.

Mayor Kang Young-seok of Sangju said, "The Rural New Vitality Plus Project will be an opportunity to grow and develop together with social economy organizations and to expand Sangju's food economy," adding, "We hope that by establishing an implementation plan suited to local conditions and involving various food production and consumption entities in the project promotion process, it will become a new vitality for the stagnant agriculture and rural areas."
