Gangnam-gu Supports Up to 1.19 Million KRW for Korean Medicine Treatment Costs for Infertile Couples
Recruiting 23 Couples Until the 18th, 90% of 3-Month Herbal Medicine Manufacturing Costs... Common-Law Couples Also Eligible to Apply
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) is recruiting 23 couples experiencing difficulties with pregnancy until the 18th and will support 1.19 million KRW for traditional Korean medicine treatment costs.
This project is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's traditional Korean medicine infertility treatment support program. Any infertile couple with unexplained infertility who has resided in Seoul for more than six months as of the application date, including common-law marriages, and desires natural pregnancy (female under 41 years old) can apply.
If selected as a participant, couples can choose a designated medical institution within Seoul for treatment, and 90% of the traditional Korean medicine infertility treatment (3 months) herbal medicine manufacturing cost (support limit 1,192,320 KRW) will be covered. Applications can be made once a year, with support available up to twice. Basic livelihood security recipients and lower-income groups receive full support.
Applications must be submitted in person at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center with eligibility verification and self-screening results for both men and women from the ‘Seoul Pregnancy and Childbirth Information Center,’ along with the required documents and identification.
