KIDI Offers Flooded Vehicle Inquiry Service on Kahistory
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] The Korea Insurance Development Institute announced on the 6th that it will provide a free flood-damaged vehicle inquiry service on Car History to prevent consumer damage caused by flood vehicles.
According to the institute, the number of vehicle damage cases caused by flooding over the past four years was 10,857, of which 7,100 were total flood losses and 3,757 were partial flood damages.
It was found that more than 90% of annual flood vehicle damages occur between July and October due to heavy rains during the monsoon season.
On the institute's Car History platform, users can check whether a vehicle has been flood-damaged by entering the vehicle number or chassis number.
