Submit to the China Visa Center with required documents after online application
Negative COVID-19 test certificate required within 5 days before boarding the aircraft
[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] The issuance of Chinese visas, which had been suspended due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), will resume from the 5th. The target includes international students, workers, and holders of Chinese residence permits.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 4th that from the 5th, visa services for Koreans visiting China for employment and study purposes will begin. The Ministry also added that holders of residence permits (long-term visas) are included in this visa issuance.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that all Chinese visa applications are processed online. Koreans wishing to apply for a Chinese visa can access the Chinese Visa Application Service Center's website (https://www.visaforchina.org) and fill out the online application form.
After printing and signing the application form, applicants must book a submission time online and submit the required documents along with the application form to the Chinese Visa Center.
Holders of residence permits with remaining validity (who submit copies of their passport and residence permit when applying) can receive the visa free of charge.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that applicants must submit the original signed "Health Status Declaration" and provide a COVID-19 test certificate (in English or Chinese) issued within 5 days before boarding the aircraft.

Additionally, within 24 hours of receiving a negative COVID-19 test result, a copy of the report (the original must be carried when departing) must be submitted to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center (via email or fax). The COVID-19 testing institutions are hospitals or agencies designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
