Confirmed COVID-19 Case Among Overseas Arrivals in Gwangju... Total 208 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] An overseas entrant in Gwangju has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been classified as the 208th confirmed case.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 4th, a man in his 50s, Mr. A, who entered from Uzbekistan, tested positive for COVID-19.
Following the overseas entrant guidelines, Mr. A was immediately placed in facility quarantine at the Fire Academy dormitory upon arrival in Gwangju, so there is no concern of community transmission.
Meanwhile, since the second wave of COVID-19 began in Gwangju on the 27th of last month, 175 people have been confirmed positive.
By infection route, there are 40 cases related to Gwangju Sarang Church, 32 at Geumyang Officetel, 30 at Ilgok Central Church, 14 at Gwangju Exam Academy, 14 in the badminton club, 8 at Gwangneuksa Temple, 12 contacts from other cities/provinces (Songpa case 60), 9 contacts with confirmed cases (Gwangju case 192), 12 overseas inflows, and 3 under investigation.
By age group, there are 5 under 10 years old, 7 teenagers, 7 in their 20s, 14 in their 30s, 23 in their 40s, 39 in their 50s, 46 in their 60s, 21 in their 70s, 8 in their 80s, and 5 in their 90s.
