Public Shopping, 84.7 Billion KRW in Sales for July with '31 Days of Proposal'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Public Shopping announced on the 4th that thanks to the ‘31 Days of Proposals’ event held throughout last month, the transaction volume in July grew by 33.2% compared to the same period last year, reaching 84.7 billion KRW.
They aired a total of 187 broadcasts of 'Daebak Proposal', 'Dolbal Proposal', and '10-Minute Proposal', achieving sales of 22.4 billion KRW (based on order amount). In particular, the 'Dolbal Proposal', where customers could purchase products by paying only 2,500 KRW for shipping, was extremely popular, with all 31,000 prepared units sold out.
Viewership ratings also rose significantly, resulting in a strong customer attraction effect. The average rating, which was around 0.04%, increased to over 0.09% in July, ranking first among TV home shopping channels. This led to new subscriptions, with the number of new customers surpassing 310,000 in July alone. This represents a 20% increase compared to June, which Public Shopping explained as an encouraging figure considering July and August are typically off-seasons for shopping.
The top-selling 'Daebak Proposal' products ranked first and second were kimchi, which has gained popularity as an immunity-boosting food amid the recent COVID-19 pandemic. 'Domisol Kimchi' and 'Kim Sunja Master Kimchi' sold 2 billion KRW and 1.8 billion KRW respectively, attracting great interest.
Reflecting the 'stay-at-home' trend, furniture and interior products also received great love. The 'Ijo Nongbang Hwangto Clay Bed' recorded sales of 1.4 billion KRW, and the 'Sujeong Medical Clay Bed' achieved 1.2 billion KRW in sales. Bedding sets from 'Arabelle' sold over 700 million KRW.

Public Shopping is holding the 'August Christmas' event throughout this month, offering super special prices and off-season sales. Masks, which were previously sold only through 'Dolbal Chance', will be expanded to regular programming, with products such as 'KF80 Infant Masks' planned for sale.
