[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Kim Tae-nyeon, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 4th regarding the real estate market stabilization measures to be announced, "The housing supply expansion plan will include more supply volume than the media and market had expected."
On the morning of the same day, at the 'Party-Government Consultation on Housing Supply Expansion Measures for Real Estate Market Stabilization' held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building, Floor Leader Kim said, "We have prepared various supply methods to calm the overheated real estate market and ease the anxiety of low-income households without homes."
He continued, "The goal of the policy is clear. It is to eradicate real estate speculation and protect low-income and actual homeowners to realize national housing stability and welfare," emphasizing, "We must expand the supply of housing for low-income and actual homeowners so that they can achieve their dream of owning a home."
Floor Leader Kim also said, "We will not make the mistake of allowing the increased housing supply to become prey for speculative forces," adding, "We will mobilize all administrative power and policies to root out speculative forces."
He stated, "Various disruptive acts such as fake news and manipulative news are rampant to undermine the real estate measures," and added, "The market disruption acts by speculative forces are unfair acts that harm the real estate market, and we will respond firmly from the perspective of protecting people's livelihoods."
