Seongnam-si Publishes Child Abuse Self-Assessment Booklet
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province has produced the nation's first self-check and case-centered booklet on child abuse.
Seongnam City announced on the 4th that it recently distributed the booklet, which is composed of case-centered content to help recognize that disciplinary education conducted at home can constitute child abuse, to Dahamkke Care Centers, daycare centers, pediatric clinics, and others.
In October, social welfare officials will directly conduct child abuse investigation duties together with the police. Additionally, the Gyeonggi Seongnam Child Protection Agency plans to strengthen in-depth and professional case management to ensure children are safely protected from the risk of re-abuse.
