Boseong-gun Reopens Public Facilities Closed Due to COVID-19
Yulpo Solbat Beach Operates by Advance Reservation System
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that starting from the 3rd, it will downgrade social distancing from level 2 to level 1 and reopen public facilities and other multi-use facilities that had been closed due to COVID-19.
The facilities reopening this time include approximately 500 locations such as Jaeamsan Natural Recreation Forest, Botjae, Korea Tea Museum, Yulpo Seawater Green Tea Center, and senior citizen centers.
The Yulpo Pine Forest Beach, which had been closed, will also operate by advance reservation from the 3rd to the 30th. However, considering the COVID-19 situation, the maximum number of daily visitors has been reduced from the original 2,000 to 1,000 (700 by advance reservation, 300 by on-site reservation), and the number of tent installation sections is limited to 50. Nighttime eating and drinking are also prohibited.
Reservations for Yulpo Pine Forest Beach can be made through the government-established ‘Sea Travel’ website or by phone.
Before reopening, the county took measures such as disinfecting facilities, installing quarantine supplies, and electronic entry logs, and prepared operation manuals for individual facilities including senior citizen centers.
A county official said, “We will do our best to ensure the safety of residents and tourists through thorough quarantine,” and urged visitors to “comply with personal hygiene and quarantine rules to safely use the facilities.”

Meanwhile, the Yulpo Seawater Pool will not operate due to the △Yulpo Marine Leisure Tourism Hub Development Project and is preparing to leap forward as a marine leisure mecca equipped with the world’s largest skin diving chamber, the country’s largest infinity pool, an indoor surfing facility, and a survival swimming pool in 2024.
