Laneige Launches Social Contribution Campaign 'Rescue Walter'
Release of 'Water Sleeping Mask Limited' as Part of Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Premium moisturizing functional brand Laneige is launching a new social contribution campaign called 'Rescue Walter' to spread the importance of water.
This campaign was planned to raise awareness about protecting 'water,' Laneige's core asset. Introduced for the first time with this campaign, Walter and Friends consist of 'Walter,' symbolizing water, the white weasel 'Dambi' who conserves water, the seal twins 'Ibogae' and 'Jeobogae,' and the snowman 'Noonmungchi.' They will share an adventurous story of setting off together to save water through various content.
As part of the campaign, Laneige released a limited edition 'Water Sleeping Mask' featuring the characters. The Water Sleeping Mask contains Laneige's unique Sleep-tox™ ingredient, which purifies the skin during sleep, providing intensive moisture and leaving the skin vibrant and clear.
Laneige plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this limited edition product to international relief and development NGOs related to water resource protection, supporting drinking water projects and emergency relief development in water-scarce countries.
