The participating universities are Dongmyung University, Dongseo University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Pukyong National University, and Korea Maritime and Ocean University.
The B.SORI (Busan Solutions Of Regional Issues) project refers to a joint capstone design that listens to the "sounds" demanded by local companies and society and responds with the "voices" of participating students.
It is a project that seeks solutions to problems faced by Busan’s companies and local communities through capstone design, enhancing students' practical skills. It addresses three key areas: future industry core technologies, regional social innovation and contribution, and social ventures and social enterprises.
Participating students carry out the project by designing creative and comprehensive capstone designs, attending expert lectures and mentoring in each field, and receiving design thinking education.
Shin Dong-seok, head of the LINC+ project group at Dongmyung University, said, “The project will proceed to find solutions to the three key issues in the Busan area,” adding, “With this agreement, the six universities will join forces to further contribute to regional development and social contribution.”
