Jungbu Power Delivers Project Funds to 6 Eco-friendly and Industrial Safety Social Enterprises... 180 Million KRW Support Provided
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. held a fund transfer ceremony for six companies selected through the 'Green New Deal Eco-friendly and Industrial Safety Social Innovation Project Contest' on the 30th and hosted an innovation idea presentation.
This project was promoted to discover social economy enterprises in the eco-friendly and industrial safety sectors to build a green industry innovation ecosystem and to support social ventures and social economy enterprises facing difficulties in securing commercialization funds.
During the recruitment period, 35 innovative ideas were submitted. For follow-up support, evaluations were conducted on four of the five companies selected last year, and two additional companies were selected.
The six final selected companies are Areumdawoon Coffee, Sarang-ui Jajeongeo, Trashbusters, Sesange Eomneun Yeohaeng, Lobs Fire Safety Research Institute, and EcoPulp. Each company will receive up to 30 million KRW, with a total support amount of 180 million KRW.
The projects supported by Korea Midland Power through the Green New Deal Eco-friendly and Industrial Safety Social Innovation Project Contest are as follows: ▲Development of sustainable fair trade capsule coffee products ▲Manufacture of handcarts for elderly people collecting waste paper ▲Establishment and dissemination of a reusable container rental service system in the disposable goods purchase market ▲Fire sprinkler certification and product manufacturing without malfunction caused by skipping phenomenon (follow-up support) ▲Development and manufacturing of IoT ports dedicated to smart equipment (follow-up support), among others.
