KOTRA Supports Sample Shipping Costs for Companies Participating in 'Online Exhibitions'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] KOTRA announced on the 31st that it will support sample shipping costs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies struggling to find buyers due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The support targets companies that participated in KOTRA's online Korean Pavilion at overseas exhibitions or the online Korean Excellent Products Exhibition and conducted video consultations with buyers.
Since March, KOTRA has been promoting products of SMEs and mid-sized companies by establishing online Korean Pavilions and Korean Excellent Products Pavilions for each overseas exhibition on the digital trade platform 'BuyKorea.' Utilizing digital content, it discovers overseas buyers and arranges video consultations between Korean companies and buyers. By supporting sample shipping costs as well, it is expected to have the effect of directly participating in overseas exhibitions.

Costs can be supported when companies participating in the online Korean Pavilion or online Korean Excellent Products Exhibition send samples to buyers with whom they have conducted video consultations through the program. When a company ships samples to pre-agreed buyers, KOTRA reimburses the costs afterward. Support is provided up to 400,000 KRW, with no limit on the number of times within the limit.
