The on-site executive meeting conducted a final on-site inspection to ensure that the '2020 Miryang Performing Arts Festival,' held from August 1 to 16 at Miryang Arena and Miryang Arirang Art Center, could be held safely and successfully despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
About 20 participants, including Miryang Mayor Park Il-ho and executive officials, attended the meeting to hear about the progress from the secretariat officials and toured the site.
In particular, to efficiently and effectively carry out prevention, they discussed measures regarding social distancing rules due to COVID-19, actions to take in case of confirmed cases, prevention guidelines, and behavioral instructions.
Mayor Park Il-ho of Miryang said, "The festival must prioritize 'safety' and 'quarantine' in response to COVID-19, establish guidelines unique to Miryang's local festival, and do our best to make it a model case of festival hosting." He added, "Please make thorough preparations so that visitors can have a healing time, small memories, and happy moments."
