Black Yak Alpine Club Center Appointed as Educational Institution for 'Onmaeul Campus'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] BYN Black Yak (Chairman Kang Taeseon)'s outdoor complex cultural space, Black Yak Alpine Club Center (BAC Center), has been appointed as a village education institution for the future-oriented career education project 'Onmaeul Campus.'
Onmaeul Campus is a future-oriented career education project jointly promoted by Seongbuk-gu, Gangbuk-gu, and the Seongbuk-Gangbuk Office of Education, selected through the Ministry of Education's 'Future Education Autonomy Cooperation District' project competition. With the vision of establishing a future education system where the entire village grows together, Seongbuk-gu operates courses linked with universities, while Gangbuk-gu focuses on village education institutions, reflecting regional characteristics.
The BAC Center, located in Ui-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, was appointed as a village education institution implementing the 'Mountain Climbing Activity Planner - Mountain Climbing Coordinator' program, utilizing the characteristics of the region and space. It plans to operate career education classes and provide job experience opportunities for high school students in the Seongbuk and Gangbuk areas.
In particular, the BAC Center operates its own climbing academy, which allows participation from adults to children, based on systematic facilities. It also runs various external programs such as outdoor lectures at Lotte Department Store Cultural Center, verifying the professionalism of its education system and personnel. Based on this know-how, the BAC Center will actively contribute to nurturing future talents in the outdoor field.

Park Misook, head of the BAC Center, said, "We will establish a model case of cooperation with local governments in this first attempt to apply 'hyper-local,' which creates unique regional characteristics on a small scale, in the field of educational autonomy."
