Operation of the ‘Jungnang-gu Digital Counseling Center’
Smartphones, Unmanned Kiosks, Online Shopping, and Various Smart Devices: Consultation to Training All Solved with One Call
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will officially operate the ‘Jungnang-gu Digital Counseling Center’ starting August 3 to bridge the digital divide for information-vulnerable groups.
This ‘Jungnang-gu Digital Counseling Center’ prepared by the district was planned for residents who have difficulty adapting to the non-face-to-face culture spread by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and face challenges in digital life.
To help residents adapt to the non-face-to-face environment in daily life, the center will provide various consultations such as ordering at fast food restaurants via kiosks, ordering delivery food through applications, and using online shopping. It will also offer education on how to use smart devices such as computers, smartphones, tablet PCs, and AI speakers to help residents become familiar with digital culture.
Additionally, it will not forget to enhance individual capabilities through education on how to use and utilize various SNS platforms.
The ‘Jungnang-gu Digital Counseling Center,’ located on the basement first floor of the Gwan-sang Complex Building in Sinnae-dong, Jungnang-gu, operates from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. It offers phone consultations for residents experiencing difficulties with digital use and provides 1:1 customized education for those who make prior visit reservations.
To apply, residents can call the ‘Jungnang-gu Digital Counseling Center’ call center to request a consultation. For visit consultations and 1:1 customized education, residents must make a prior reservation by phone and then visit the Resident Smart Education Center to resolve their questions.
Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, “I hope no residents experience inconvenience in their daily lives in the post-COVID-19 era,” and added, “We will prepare various resident informatization education platforms to ensure digital access rights for all residents.”
