On the 30th, the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education held the 1st Promotion Committee meeting to support the activation of the Village Education Community and Seorona Sharing Education District at the policy meeting room of the city education office.
Last December, Ulsan became the first city nationwide to enact an ordinance supporting the activation of the Village Education Community and the Innovation Education District (Seorona Sharing Education District). The Promotion Committee was formed with a total of 8 members, including Son Geunho, chairman of the Ulsan City Council Education Committee, representatives from civic groups, and parent associations, in accordance with the ordinance.
The Promotion Committee’s activity period is two years, from July 30, 2020, to July 29, 2022. During this period, the committee deliberates on major matters related to the Village Education Community and Seorona Sharing Education District policies and necessary support for project activation.
On this day, the Promotion Committee reviewed the 2020 business plan and examined the operation plan for the Village Education Community Hub Center, which is scheduled to open in September.
