View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the United Future Party, stated on the 30th regarding the claim to regain the seven standing committee chairmanships, “The public is fully aware that the Democratic Party of Korea is monopolizing all the standing committee chairmanships and abusing their power,” adding, “They cannot just give us a few chairmanship positions and then say let's share responsibility.”
After an emergency party meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Floor Leader Joo told reporters, “We will stop the Democratic Party's reckless actions through the power and uprising of the people.”
Regarding the possibility of boycotting the National Assembly and filibustering (legal obstruction of parliamentary proceedings) in the future, Floor Leader Joo said, “We will carefully observe the situation and decide slowly later.”

On whether to participate in the plenary session, Floor Leader Joo said, “There are huge procedural issues with the Lease Protection Act, and many problems with its content,” adding, “We will engage in opposing debates but have decided not to participate in the vote.”
