[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics stated in its Q2 2020 earnings conference call held on the 30th that "smartphone sales in Q2 reached 57 million units, and tablets recorded 7 million units," adding that "the ASP (average selling price), including tablets, was $226, with smartphones accounting for the mid-90% range of the product mix."

Regarding the outlook for Q3, the company said, "Sales of both mobile phones and tablets are expected to increase compared to the previous quarter, and the ASP is also expected to rise quarter-over-quarter," forecasting that "the smartphone proportion among mobile phones will be in the low 90% range."
