Tragic Accident on Road in Elderly Protection Zone, Gangseo-gu, Busan

The accident site was on a road designated as an elderly protection zone near the Senior Welfare Center.
According to Busan police on the 29th, at around 9:13 a.m., a 14-ton cargo truck driven by a man in his 30s, Mr. B, was stopped on a three-lane one-way road in front of Gangseo Sports Park in Daejeo-dong, Gangseo-gu. As the truck started moving near the second lane, it failed to notice Ms. A crossing the road while picking up trash and struck her.
Ms. A was participating in an environmental cleanup volunteer activity as part of the senior social activity support project on that day when the accident occurred.
A police official stated that the accident happened on a road designated as an elderly protection zone near the Gangseo Senior Welfare Center.
