As COVID-19 cases rapidly spread in Japan, NHK reported on the 29th that 250 new cases were confirmed in the capital city, Tokyo.
Following 266 cases the previous day, more than 200 cases were confirmed for two consecutive days, and it has been over 100 cases for 21 consecutive days.
As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Tokyo rose to 11,861.
Across Japan, 981 new cases were added, bringing the total to 32,957.
