Daedong Hospital Achieves 'Grade 1 Antibiotic Prescription Rate'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Daedong Hospital announced on the 28th that it received a 'Grade 1 Antibiotic Prescription Rate' in the 2019 Drug Benefit Adequacy Evaluation announced by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has been conducting drug benefit adequacy evaluations on inpatient and outpatient prescribed drugs from outpatient medical records since 2001 to improve the quality of medical services.
The evaluation was based on claim data for antibiotics prescription rates, injection prescription rates, and the number of drug items per prescription prescribed or administered in outpatient settings, and the results were divided into five grades and disclosed.
Daedong Hospital received Grade 1 with a very low prescription rate of 5.3 points, compared to the overall hospital average of 38.30 points. A lower result value indicates an excellent item, meaning that the medical institution minimized antibiotic use through autonomous drug use management and improvement.
