KB Kookmin Card Launches Video-Based Independent Travel Platform 'TTBB'
Sharing Free Travel Reviews via Video
Also Featuring Customized Itinerary Recommendations
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card is partnering with travel-specialized startup 'Tripbitos' to launch a video-based independent travel platform 'TTBB' on the 29th.
This platform allows users to access ▲domestic and international airline tickets ▲over 800,000 domestic and international hotels ▲activities at competitive prices through a dedicated mobile application (app) or web environment.
Based on social features, travel reviews can be created directly as videos around 15 seconds long and shared on the platform. Accommodations featured in the videos can be searched and booked immediately through a direct reservation function. For major travel destinations, users can indirectly experience activities, relaxation, shopping, and more through itinerary recommendation videos by local travel-specialized YouTubers and vivid videos around 15 seconds long uploaded by customers themselves.
For airline tickets, all flights sought by customers can be searched with a single query. Linked with KB Kookmin Card’s Life# airline service, seasonal and route-specific special offers are also provided. For domestic and international hotels, partnerships with multiple global online travel agencies such as Expedia and Hotels.com enable access to a variety of differentiated accommodation products at competitive prices.
Additionally, various travel convenience services are offered, ranging from travel-related financial services such as currency exchange by KB Kookmin Bank and travel insurance subscription by KB Insurance to overseas emergency concierge services.
KB Kookmin Card and Tripbitos plan to introduce services that automatically recommend customized travel programs and plans in the mid to long term. They intend to provide services by combining and analyzing travel content usage data accumulated through the TTBB platform and various unstructured travel-related data with card payment big data.
A KB Kookmin Card official stated, "The independent travel platform launched this time is a representative successful collaboration case between a card company and a startup, borne out of KB Kookmin Card’s startup discovery and nurturing program 'Future Nine.'"
