Yongin Mayor Baek Gun-gi: "We Will Provide Disaster Relief Funds to Local Artists"
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Baek Gun-gi, mayor of Yongin, announced that disaster relief funds will be provided to local artists.
On the 28th, Mayor Baek explained through a Facebook Live broadcast at the city hall briefing room, "We will support disaster relief funds to local artists affected by COVID-19 through the Yongin Cultural Foundation."
The recipients are artists residing in Yongin who, as of the application date, have a valid period remaining on their certificate of artistic activity issued by the Korea Artists Welfare Foundation.
On the same day, Mayor Baek also announced the launch of the "Mobile Guarantee Service," in cooperation with the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, which provides up to 100 million KRW per business to small business owners in the region.
He introduced, "By submitting the necessary documents for guarantees and loans online without visiting guarantee institutions and banks in person, it is expected to significantly reduce the burden on local small business owners seeking loans."
Meanwhile, as the peak vacation season begins, the city will inspect quarantine readiness at 114 tourist facilities within the jurisdiction.
From the 27th of this month to the 28th of next month, five inspection teams will be organized to check compliance with quarantine rules at three comprehensive amusement facilities including Everland and Korean Folk Village, 46 other amusement facilities, 26 hanok experience centers, pensions, and tourist accommodations, as well as 39 campgrounds.
