International Government Cities Busan and Jeju Unite Through 'Big Data'
Big Data Mutual Exchange Cooperation Agreement on the 29th, Co-Growth through Big Data
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan and Jeju, which share commonalities as international tourist cities, will share big data technology.
On the 28th, Busan City announced that it will sign an agreement with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province to cooperate in order to enhance the quality of life for citizens and foster the local economy through the activation of big data utilization by sharing big data technology.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the agreement will be conducted in writing on the 29th instead of an in-person signing ceremony.
Busan and Jeju will jointly promote cooperation in areas such as joint analysis projects for policy establishment in tourism and economy, sharing of excellent big data utilization policies and technological achievements, jointly hosting events to improve staff expertise and exchange information, and support for utilizing data held by institutions.
This year, they will first pursue collaborative tasks including promoting data-driven administration activation, exchanging policies related to the installation and operation of big data centers, consulting on big data analysis projects, discovering joint analysis tasks, and holding joint workshops for staff.
