Report Meeting Held at 10 AM on July 28th, 2nd Floor International Conference Room, Busan Chamber of Commerce
Secured the Largest National Budget of 4.2 Billion KRW for Two Cons
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City will hold a mid-term report meeting for the job creation support project ‘2020 Job Renaissance Busan’ at 10 a.m. on the 28th at the 2nd floor international conference hall of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
About 50 people including Busan City, the Employment Office, implementing agencies, and employment experts will attend to cover the overall current status of the region- and industry-customized job creation support project.
The report meeting will proceed with reports on the project promotion status by institution and future plans for the two projects of ‘Job Renaissance, Busan,’ followed by a presentation by the Busan Regional Human Resources Development Committee on the ‘Busan Regional Key Industry Job Ecosystem Improvement Project’ and discussions among attendees.
This project, a job collaboration project between the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Busan City, uses a total of 5.3 billion KRW, including 4.2 billion KRW in national funds (310 million KRW secured previously plus an additional 110 million KRW through a supplementary contest) and 1.1 billion KRW in city funds. The project budget is the largest nationwide.
The project is being promoted with the goal of supporting about 2,160 jobs through six strategies and 11 unit projects under two projects: innovative growth job creation and region-led job creation.
This year’s project plan was partially changed to focus support on the tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors, which were severely affected by COVID-19. Projects to respond to COVID-19, such as providing support funds to companies affected by COVID-19, are also being actively promoted.
