Three Dead, One Seriously Injured in Solo Traffic Accident on Honam Expressway Northbound in Rainy Conditions

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] A traffic accident caused by rainy road conditions on the Honam Expressway northbound lane (toward Cheonan) resulted in 3 deaths and 1 serious injury.
According to the Jeonbuk Fire Headquarters on the 28th, at around 8:19 PM the previous day, a Santa Fe (presumed) passenger car had a single-vehicle accident due to rainy road conditions near 300 meters ahead of Yeosan Rest Area on the Honam Expressway northbound lane in Iksan City, Jeonbuk.
The Santa Fe passenger car reportedly collided with the right-side guardrail on the shoulder, veered off the expressway, hit a hill, and then re-entered the expressway.
As a result of this accident, three men in their 30s riding in the passenger car died, and a woman in her 30s who was also in the car was seriously injured and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
