A Man in His 50s Found Dead at a Reservoir in Buan While Fishing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jaehee] A missing person, A (male, 57), was found dead in a reservoir in Byeonsan-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk.
On the 27th, Jeonbuk police and fire authorities announced that at around 11:17 a.m., they discovered a 1-ton truck driven by A had fallen and submerged in a reservoir in Byeonsan-myeon.
The police and fire authorities recovered A's body from inside the truck and completed the truck's retrieval around 4 p.m.
The day before, A's wife had reported him missing after losing contact with him; he had left home on the 25th saying he was going fishing, prompting the police to conduct a search operation.
The police estimate the accident occurred around midnight on the 26th and reported no signs of homicide.
